Program Objectives


 
Black Women in Training (BWIT) is a dynamic and empowering program designed to uplift and support young Black women, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to thrive today. As the sister program to Black Men in Training, BWIT aims to address the unique challenges faced by young Black women while promoting personal growth, leadership development, and community engagement.


1. Empowerment and Self-Confidence:​

BWIT seeks to cultivate a strong sense of self-worth and confidence among participants, encouraging them to embrace their identities as 

young Black women and recognize their inherent strength and potential.


2. Academic Excellence:

The program aims to promote academic success by offering academic support, mentoring, and educational resources to enhance participants'

skills and knowledge.

3. Leadership Development:

BWIT strives to foster leadership qualities and skills through workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs, empowering young Black

women to become leaders within their communities and beyond.

4. Health and Wellness:

The program emphasizes the importance of physical and mental wellbeing, providing resources, workshops, and activities focused on

health, self-care, and stress management.

5. Community Engagement:

BWIT encourages active community involvement and social awareness, aiming to develop participants' understanding of societal issues and

encouraging them to become agents of change in their communities.
