Podcasting
Podcasting isn’t just a creative outlet — It provides a platform for our youth to express themselves, and on their own terms. it’s also a tool for growth, visibility, and empowerment.
Music/Song Arrangement
Music allows one to express themself by giving a creative outlet to communicate emotions, experiences, and identity in ways that words alone often can’t. It also happens to be arguably the most powerful expression to ever exist.
Songwriting
As a chief expression within the art of music –– Songwriting allows one to purge their inner-most thoughts in a way that can be immensely therapeutic. It can also build vocabulary, grammar, and strengthen critical thinking, like any other form of writing.
Journalism/Reporting
In tandem with our outreach through Options Over Opps, our journalism and reporting project allows our youth and BMIT/BWIT as an organization to continue our efforts to amplify local voices, build community engagement, and even raise awareness. It also provides learning opportunities, and promotes support of local business, events, and other organizations.

Black Dancers In Training
Dance allows participants to express feelings that may be difficult to put into words, such as joy, grief, anger, or hope. It can relieve stress, anxiety, and depression by releasing endorphins. It can also tell many stories, some expressing one's cultural heritage; all while getting fit (see BFIT)

Theatre Arts
Public performance is known to build self-esteem and improve public speaking skills, both key components to a successful career in any space. Theatre, like so many of our other projects, encourages creative expression and individuality. It can also strengthen teamwork and collaboration, as theater is inherently group-oriented.
Visual Arts
Primarily visual in nature, Visual Art is created to be seen, giving our youth another platform to express themselves as individuals. This sort of self-expression not just promotes the expression of personal feelings or ideas, it can also inspire thought, emotion, and even change in other individuals, and societal constructs alike.
Choir
Join others in the gift of song. As a member of BMIT's choir you will take part in a longstanding tradition which promotes collaboration, a sense of belonging, musical advancement, and even many health benefits, boosted immunity for example.

Music Production & Sound Design
Music Production and Sound Design are two closely related but distinct aspects of crating music and audio. Music Production is the full process of creating a song or instrumental track from start to finish, while Sound Design is the process of creating and shaping individual sounds.
Audio Engineering
Audio engineering is the science and art of working with sound during recording, mixing, and reproduction. It focuses on the technical side of sound rather than the creative songwriting or musical composition aspects.
DJing
DJing (short for “disc jockeying”) is the art of selecting, mixing, and playing recorded music for an audience. DJs (disc jockeys) use various equipment—like turntables, mixers, and software—to create smooth transitions between songs, adjust tempos, add effects, and sometimes remix tracks live. It is one of the fundamental elements of Hip Hop culture.
Live Sound & Stage Lighting
Live sound and stage lighting are two essential elements of live performances like concerts, theater, and events. You will help to create an immersive experience for the audience.
Video Production
Video production is the process of creating video content for various purposes, such as entertainment, education, marketing, or documentation. You will gain knowledge of the equipment that is used, as well as the application of said equipment, to create high quality video art.
Photography
In photography, you will learn a combination of technical skills, artistic concepts, and practical applications. You will also learn about visual storytelling, which can be extremely expressive.
Graphic Design
Graphic design is the art and practice of creating visual content to communicate messages. Designers use images, typography, color, and layout to convey ideas and information in a visually appealing way. This includes web design, album artwork, flyers, social media content, and much-much more.
Coding
In coding, you will learn a variety of valuable skills and concepts that will allow you to create and maintain various types of software. This includes mobile and desktop applications, video games, websites, and more.
3D Modeling & Printing
3D modeling and printing is a process where you create a digital design of an object (3D modeling) and then turn that design into a real, physical object (3D printing). These items can be sold as part of the eCommerce project below.
CAD
CAD stands for Computer-Aided Design. It is the use of computer software to help create, modify, analyze, or optimize a design. CAD is commonly used by engineers, architects, product designers, and other professionals to create precise drawings or technical illustrations.
Auto Shop
In auto shop, you learn a variety of skills related to cars and vehicle maintenance. This will include the basic needs of a vehicle, wheel mounting, car audio, and more.
E-Commerce
E-commerce, short for electronic commerce, is the buying and selling of goods and services over the internet. It involves online transactions where customers can browse products, place orders, make payments, and have items delivered without needing to visit a physical store. Our goal is to give our youth the opportunity to create their own products and successfully run their own online business.
Business Administration
In Business Administration, you learn a wide range of skills and knowledge that help you manage and run businesses effectively.
